 about

I am an artist living in Elkhorn, NE.  I graduated from Doane College (now Doane University) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an Emphasis in Painting and Drawing.  The following summer, I traveled to Florence, Italy, where I studied painting and drawing at SACI (Studio Art Centers International Florence).

I am the illustrator of the children's book, "Josh the Baby Otter" for the JCMF (Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation).  I am their Art Director and have done all of the artwork for them since.  The book is in every state with Rotary International taking it on as a project.  More than 600,000 books have been distributed.  We are also partners with Michael Phelps and his foundation.

I paint live at events, including Cattlemen’s Ball of NE, Teammates Mentoring Gala, the Heartfelt Incorporated, Lied Center for the Arts, Nebraska Bar Association, Farm Credit Services of America, Cox Communications and Josh the Otter.

I am a licensed Husker Artist. My painting of Scott Frost made the cover of the Husker Sports Network Fall Sports Guide in 2018, which they printed 65,000 copies of.  Two prints of 'Last Tunnel Walk' hang in the University of Nebraska Memorial Stadium.

I prefer oils when painting because of the way they mix on the canvas, but use acrylic when painting Live because it dries much faster.  I often use gesso for texture underneath and use my hands a lot when painting.
